Mango Avocado Steak Tacos
Instructions:
Protein & Meat:
1 lb grass-fed lean flank or sirloin steak
Veggies & Fruit (Volume & Flavor):
1 bell pepper, diced (any color)
1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
1 medium mango, diced
1 avocado, diced
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
1 lime, juiced
Seasoning & Cooking:
1–2 tsp olive oil or avocado oil
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
Salt & pepper, to taste
2 tortillas (I love the siete cassava flour or 365 brands from whole foods!)
Instructions:
1. Prep & Marinate the Steak
Slice steak into thin strips against the grain.
Toss with chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and 1 tsp oil.
Optional: Let sit 10–15 minutes for flavor.
If you want something more efficient and quick, I love the sliced grass-fed beef sirloin steak—it’s already pre-cooked; it just needs to be warmed up!
2. Cook the Steak
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steak strips 2–3 minutes per side until cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. Sauté the Veggies
In the same skillet, add a small drizzle of oil if needed.
Sauté diced onion and bell pepper 4–5 minutes until softened but still crisp.
4. Make the Topping
Dice mango and avocado.
Toss together with lime juice, cilantro, and a pinch of salt.
5. Assemble Tacos
Layer tortillas (if using) with steak strips and sautéed veggies.
Top generously with mango-avocado salsa.
Optional: sprinkle extra fresh cilantro.
6. Serve & Enjoy
These tacos are fresh, colorful, high-protein, and full of volume thanks to the veggies and fruit.
